Mike Shutley
Principal

Mike is an experienced government affairs and sustainability professional with a demonstrated history of success. Skilled in public affairs, grassroots organizing, public speaking, and campaign and issue management, Mike has successfully led numerous initiatives from start to finish.

Most recently serving as head of government affairs and sustainability for Dunkin’ Brands, he worked closely with senior management to develop and implement the company’s legislative initiatives and to advocate for Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins franchisees at all levels of government, both domestically and internationally.  In addition, he oversaw the company’s efforts on global sustainability, working to ensure the brands continue to be more socially responsible in how they operate.

Prior to joining Dunkin’ Brands, Mike served in Government Relations for Brinker International, one of the world’s leading casual dining restaurant companies. There, he had the responsibility of representing the company and its brands, Chili’s Grill and Bar and Maggiano’s Little Italy restaurants in public policy arenas.  Tasked with both state and federal responsibilities, he was the face of the company on a broad set of issues ranging from immigration reform to healthcare and food regulation.

Before moving into corporate government affairs work, Mike worked as a federal advocate for the restaurant industry at the National Restaurant Association.  He played a pivotal role in crafting food policy and impacting critical issues facing the industry.  Mike joined the restaurant industry after serving in leadership roles on Capitol Hill.
